How high is your bathroom / downstairs loo sink (from the floor?)

i.e. from the top of the sink to the floor?

Downstairs loo fit out. I said to builder when the pipes were first put in that it looked too low (wall hung basin). He assured me it wasn't. The top of the sink will be 70cm from the floor when its in. Googling suggests it should be 80-85cm from the floor. I know we're going to have an argument about this. Anyone got a sink that low and think its OK (we're normal height)?

You should have it at any height that suits you. The builder should do what you want. I had mine installed recently at roughly the same height at a kitchen sink as I don't like bending down.

If it helps mine is 89 cm from edge of basin to floor - feels about right - but your choice.

That would break my back - way too low for me. Ours is 90cm ish.

I know. I'm not planning to wash my face in it but even so, seems a good 15-20cm too low.

Mines 85 cm. I'm 5'7" and I wish it was higher. I made a gesture to our builder so felt I couldn't fault him when he put it at this height, I wish I'd been more specific.

Yes I'm 5'6 and H is 6ft. it's not going to work at 70cm.

Ours is 83cm but it's a deep bowl so feels a little bit low to me. I'm only 5'4". Our bathroom ones are 84/85cm and feel right to me though.
