We are looking to move (buying) to the Kensal Green area of NW London early next year. There are a lot of properties in that area that have been on the market for a while, and I am wondering if that’s due to their proximity to the HS2 works. Possibly worsened by the mess they have made around Euston. We really love the area and are realistic about having a bit of noise in Zone 2 London but do you think Old Oak Common will drastically change the area…in a bad way? A couple of the houses I am looking at are just outside of the compensation scheme zone (I’ve probably called that the wrong thing but you get my point!). Is it risky to buy there?
