Advice for spare bedroom colour

We have just had some work done on our house and now have to repaint the spare room. Its a reasonable size room that fits a double bed and I was thinking of having it either white or a neutral pale colour plus a feature wall but stuck on colour. The carpet will be a neutral cream colour. Our house is victorian but our style is contemporary we have a white hallway with a stripe carpet, pale grey lounge and the new kitchen is matt white with a very dark blue island, the downstairs loo will also be returned to a very dark blue. Any thoughts ? I was thinking that we can change the look of the room with different bedlinen etc so something that won't date but equally not too boring ! any thoughts ? Pics welcome
TIA

Lick have some good inspiration on their instagram for more contemporary styles in a period house? I personally would ditch the feature wall and paint all the walls the same colour. Does the room get much light?

Duck egg blue is a popular choice for bedrooms as not too masculine or feminine, and is soothing … I suggest it as would tone with your other blues in the house

In my own home I’d just go for light neutral walls (no feature wall) & mix things up with accessories. A guest room is unlikely to need repainting often if light use only so if just want to do it once and not think about it for 5-10 years!

We have Dulux Egyptian cotton in our hallway. It’s a really nice neutral, looks different in different lights. Difficult to describe the colour… possibly a pale mocha.

p.s. I like searching on Instagram for paint colours - you can often find lots of different photos of the colour in peoples houses. Gives you a much better idea than just looking at the samples.
