Floorboards in a sixties build

Has anyone uncovered their sixties floorboards? We’ve realised we have floorboards under our shabby carpets in our early 60s build but am concerned the boards may be too soft and not hard wearing enough. Would love to hear if anyone else has their floorboards on show! Picture attached

Yes, I sanded all my early 60s floorboards in the lounge and hall. They used to be dark and dirty came up beautifully like new pine.
