Advice for living room colours

Hello!
I’d love for some help deciding on how to decorate our living room after recently moving.
We have a teal sofa and armchairs with duck egg/teal that we’re going to keep. There is a fireplace which is a creamy, sandy sort of colour which will also be staying. Example picture attached
I’d really like something different other than white/cream coloured walls. I’ve considered blue/orange/pink but can’t find any Pinterest inspiration so im hoping someone here can help me out! Thank you! 🙂

To add, we live in a early sixties build, so no lovely high ceilings

You need to consider the direction of the light.

In our north facing rooms any colour is completely different to our south facing rooms.

Pink and teal go lovely. Or how about silver. Brown would go with both but a bit dark and dull. Or a patterned wallpaper perhaps

What about this kind of palette?

We have same colour sofa and armchairs as you and our fireplace used to be same colour as yours but we painted it duck egg blue to match the sofa and armchairs. Then painted the walls in a light cream colour called Posset—I forget who makes it. I hear you that you don’t want cream walls but my point is that you don’t have to keep the fireplace the existing colour—I bet it would take paint well. I like the previous poster’s example of cinnamon rose with the duck egg blue. Or a pale blush pink would look good also.

Gold also goes nicely with duck egg blue.

There are free apps where you can take a photo of your room and try different colours out. Absolutely brilliant to experiment and give you a good idea of what you'll like. Sometimes it's really surprising what looks best. Try the Dulux visualizer.

I definitely recommend downloading the Houzz app. If you go into photos and then search for teal sofa there is lots of inspiration!

Thank you so much everyone

I’ve had a lot of fun with the dulux app and actually a dark navy looks really great. Now to decide on orange or pink accents!
