Never heard of bloor but I have a Taylor wimpey and am overall happy with it. I probably wouldn't buy a new build again but that's to do with lack of space - TW we're pretty good when I got mine 3 years ago

Bloor are better in my area.

Bloor in general have more spaced out estates, more windows in the house and better layouts (spaces that fit standard wardrobes)
I looked at several builders before I bought my current home. Taylor Whimpey we're not including the kitchen in the purchase price! Though they may have changed this.

I lived near a Bloor estate and I thought their houses looked really good quality.
I live near a TW estate and have a seen a FB page that residents have set up complaining about all their snagging issues

We bought a Bloor new build four years ago and have absolutely no concerns. Nicely laid out, very considerate builders, dedicated site managers, even the salespeople bent over backwards for us. The houses themselves are well-designed, well-proportioned, and somewhat unusually for UK new-builds are suitable for how people actually live in the 21st century. Optional extras and customisations were very reasonable too. No concerns whatsoever with the build quality. A few snagging things, naturally, but all fixed very quickly.

Little experience with Taylor Wimpey, but some were built right next to where we used to live and the only memory I have of one of the show homes is colossal amounts of wasted space. To shoe-horn a downstairs toilet into a tiny 3-bed terrace that really wasn't big enough for one it ended up with a 1m x 1m 'corridor' with three doors and a wall separating the lounge and kitchen/diner, with the toilet off it. It would have driven anyone insane.

We live near a new Bloor, Bellway, Taylor Wimpey & Redrow estate! Redrow & Bloor are by far the nicest.

We're in Taylor wimpey. Absolutely love our home! So much light and space, double garage and driveway bug enough for 6 cars and estate every well designed in that every house has parking next to it so it isn't clogged by all the people that want to park outside regardless of they're allocated parking. Bloor on the otherhand that we looked at was so poorly designed upstairs. Downstairs was lovely but upstairs has 3 doubles and 1 single and that bedroom was 7 x 7. So small for a bedroom. Plus houses had parking round the back etc. But look at the estate and house type you love, then choose. Ultimately something is only ever right if you love the house type and plot then it doesn't matter who the builder is!

What my worry is ... is the construction quality same or some is better or has better resale in case we want to sell off after 10 years or so
