Hi

We're having some work done in our garden (team of 4 people here between 8am and 4pm)and I was just wondering how often you'd tend to make them tea/coffee?

I've been making them around 3 a day but I work from home and am often in long meetings so some afternoons I've not been able to make any drinks and feel a bit guilty!

I spoke to a friend last night who said he only makes builders etc 1 drink first thing then expects them to have brought their own flask!

How generous do you tend to be?!

I think I've made them 4 today but that did feel like a lot. And I bought them a bacon sandwich and cakes because it was Friday and they've worked hard all week.
Usually I make one on arrival, one at 11am, and one at 3ish. It does keep them sweet (metaphorically and literally: I have never got through as much sugar as I have this week!)

Almost all the workmen I have ever had like to go out and have their breaks in their van and drink whatever they have brought with them. Sometimes they accept a first one I the morning but that's it. I wouldn't be making cups of tea all day for people if I am paying them to do a job for me. I do let them use the loo though. I have no issue with that.
