Moving to Kings Norton, Brum

We moved from Billesley (between Kings Heath and Moseley) to another smaller local city and we've found this city not for us. We are considering moving to Kings Norton. What's the area like? How is it to live there? :)

We are putting an offer in on a property.

It is going for above asking price but we think it could work for us. Huge variance in prices on that road but this one has extra space and garden going for it.

Just wondering if anyone has some experience of living round this way and what it's like?

Thank you!

If you lived in Billesley then you should have a good idea what Kings Norton is like as it's not far away at all? Just visit the house you like at different times of day, especially Friday and Saturday nights. See if there is a local Facebook group you can join to get an idea of what's going on locally (events, crime, etc).

Kings Norton is huge and it encompasses a fairly deprived estate and some really wealthy roads. Where is the house? Is it near to Kings Norton green?

Yes it's on the Green just a bit further up past the dentist :)

Is it on Rednal Road?

@somethingischasingme

Is it on Rednal Road?
No thankfully! Busy road. It's just off the green.

I used to live in KN and my db still lives there with his family. We like it!

If it's close to the green, the area should be fine! Very nice, in fact.

I live not far from the green. It's a lovely area and the green has a great community feel. The rough estate mentioned by pp is on the other side of Redditch Road....so not on your doorstep.
I would say though that the area can be quite congested and traffic is fairly busy throughout the day.
