If your kitchen has grey floor tiles, what colour

Are your units and worktop. We're starting to plan our new kitchen and the only floor tiles we like are grey. We've had a conservatory extension put on which is going to eventually be part of an open plan style kitchen diner and we need to get a floor down - which is why we're doing it a bit backwards and starting with the floor colour Grin. If you don't mind sharing photos, I'd love to see them. Thank you.

I have grey floor tiles with white high gloss cabinets and a dark grey worktop. Looks really nice and seems to go very well Smile

We have grey floor tiles with a mixture of wood and matt charcoal cabinets and white quartz worktops. Warmth is added through the wood and also bronze accessories (lights and splashback).

I have a slate grey floor and white units, they make a great neutral background for any wall colour.

It's actually a great idea to start with floor and work upwards, because in most big open plan spaces the floor is the largest expanse of colour that you see. Easier to match units and worktop to a floor than the other way round.

We have dark grey tiles, a cream kitchen with wooden work top. The walls are cream and sage.

Okki · 30/09/2021 22:20

Both of those sound lovely. I quite like the idea of cream and wood. Would you mind sharing a picture @sunflower198?

I have light grey tiles, sage green cabinets and a black granite worktop. Walls are white to keep it light!

PlinkPlankPlunk · 01/10/2021 13:22

Slate floor, white units, white worktop here. It looks amazing, if I do say so myself Grin

MintJulia · 01/10/2021 13:30

I have grey porcelain floor tiles, pale oak cabinets and white quartz worktops. Three walls are white, the wall behind most of the kitchen cabinets is bright turquoise.
I like light cheerful rooms so one end of the kitchen has French windows and side windows.
