Removal company No fuel

Due to move at 7am today, At 6.30 this morning company called us to say they couldn’t get diesel. Could cry. We were up at 5am getting ready. Have tried other companies but not positive.

What about if they move all your stuff out to the nearest storage unit. Could they do that instead?

Oh my god, what a nightmare. No advice but couldn't read and run.

DH is trying to get diesel now (needs to drive to work tomorrow) and one he's tried doesn't have any. Fucking panic buyers

Could you try to get some in a file can elsewhere?

Are you in rented or are you part of a chain

If your in a chain I would honestly get on the phone to see if your nearest storage facility could fit you in and then ask the removal company if they at least have enough fuel to do that for you in the interim.

The removal firm will have insurance for you to claim on.

Oh no. This is my fear too as we have a van rental booked for Friday for a flat move. No advice for you - sorry OP - But PP suggestion of a move to storage might work. I guess the removal co has to pay it's staff anyway.

We’re in rented and no one coming in after us which is good but we are packed totally, have a week off work and just want to go - just a friggin nightmare.
