I'm going to do re-pointing between the paving slabs in the backyard. Have never done it before, but watched youtube videos and it doesn't seem hard. Backyard is not in a great condition and paving slabs are cheap, some cracked, so I decidedly can't ruin it no matter what I do 
Bought cement, builder's sand and the trowel. Just need to have one more go tomorrow at getting the half-dead weeds out (have done several times before, it's the final push).
Longer term I'd like to hire tradesmen to repave the whole thing, I've got quotes and stuff, but just can't afford it in the next 2 years.
My question is - how big is the job / how long would it take? Am I insane to attempt it at 4pm after work? It's sunny all week this week then rain on the weekend. I can't take days off work now, but can in October so that's another option but it will be colder (maybe).
