Morning!
Have been allocated a conveyancing solicitor as I'm in the process of buying a shared ownership property. I just googled their reviews & the reviews are awful!!!! Has anyone got any recommendations?

Hope it's not these guys... but I used to do nothing but s/o mortgages, and these guys were always pretty good.

I used direction law when I sold, they were ok don't think they missed anything, but very slow. They were by far the cheapest quote I got.
I used Bramsdon and childs when I bought shared ownership- good but quite expensive.

When you say you have been 'allocated a conveyancer, do you mean by the developer/sales team? If so, this is extremely inadvisable.
You should get your own independent specialist solicitor who will work for you
Shared Ownership is complex (and has become even more so over the years). It is very important a solicitor not only reads and understands this complex set up, but that they explain, in minute detail, exactly what it is that you are signing your name to.

I used www.gardinerssolicitors.co.uk years ago for share ownership and they were good
