Kitchen colours - F&B Studio Green or Green smoke - thoughts please

Hi all,

I'm planning on renovating my kitchen - it's quite small (see photos). I'm completely in love with photos I see of kitchens with lovely deep Studio Green cabinets but I am worried it will just look really dingy and dark).

My plan is to paint the walls and the top run of units in Wimborne White (to brighten it all up). I'm going to replace the tiles with the white metro (unsure of grout colour) and the floor will be Quickstep in Autumn Oak Honey (to match the rest of the downstairs).

If my painting is up to scratch then I'll replace the worktop (dream world is my renovation looks good and I can justify a lighter granite worktop and new sink). If it all looks rubbish at least I have had a go and will save up for a DIY kitchen. I'm just loathed to strip out what are good carcasses but not to my taste. I've had a quote to replace the doors only and this wasn't much cheaper than a new kitchen.

My plan is to get rid of the wall unit on the right of the extractor fan and have that as open shelving to let some more light in.

I'm going to colour match my paints to Tikkurila (already been practising and like using them so far).

I guess my question is, do any of you have smaller kitchens painted in the Studio Green or equivalent? Or would you steer clear? Also open to tiling ideas!

Love the sound of your colour scheme, very similar to my dream kitchen! I have studio green painted in my porch and it does look black in shadow, so bear that in mind, however I think it would be fab for a kitchen.
