Help with professional packers

Moving day is Friday and packers are coming Thursday. I am feeling distinctly panicked about it - I’m nowhere near ready and haven’t de-cluttered as much as I wanted. The place is in a complete state.
A couple of questions
a) will the packers care if the nooks and crannies are my house are not clean - would I be better off spending the last day cleaning rather than de-cluttering? Or have they literally seen it all?
b) can I ask for specific things not to be packed until the next day - we still have to live in the old house for a night after the packers have gone so can I ask them to leave out kitchen stuff, personal items, the telly, the beds obviously etc?
c) should I look after my valuables (jewellery etc) myself? What would be the most practical way to do that?
Any other tips for packers and movers would be much appreciated!

They will dismantle and reassemble beds in with the normal removal job. Ditto take feet off sofas, unscrew legs from tables etc to get them through doors.

They will look at wardrobes etc during the assessment for the quote. We did get a leaflet saying that many flat pack items are not intended to be dismantled and reassembled, so they can’t always take responsibility.

Hope it's going ok today OP!

I've moved with packers three times and would absolutely use them every time. Reading other posts has reminded me of the first time I moved... I was ready, and working upstairs (three story house) while they started on the ground floor. I thought they'd be a while, so didn't think twice when once of them called me to the kitchen to ask questions. By the time I got back up to my study, the whole room was boxed up, and the desk dismantled.

They'd literally just closed the lid of my laptop, pulled out the plug boxed it up.

See I’m too late for this.

Hopefully you packed your precious and sentimental items

Literally roped off anything you didn’t want packed

Emptied your trash cans

Disposed of perishables

Because the locusts are putting EVERYTHING in boxes.
