I'm about 6 months off buying things like this - am I being ridiculous buying toilets (we need 4 toilets and sinks) and things this early and storing them away?

Nope. It’s madness trying to get hold of stuff at the moment

CasperGutman · 20/08/2021 14:51

Nah, that would be crazy. Just don't look in my understairs cupboard. There definitely aren't three sinks, taps, wastes, a toilet and a shower in there. Oh no.

If I buy what I need now, then I'm looking at about £500-£700 saving.

Is this company reputable?!

I haven’t ordered from them but they were one of the suppliers I kept an eye on when I was planning our new bathroom. I can’t speak for all of the items they’re claiming are on offer but I definitely noticed they often had sales or discounts so wonder whether it’s truly a sale.

If you’ve got somewhere safe for them to be stored then go for it. We had a lot of sanitaryware that had to be kept being moved around, which was a pain but luckily didn’t get damaged!

Plumbworld are reputable. I've bought things from them before. But they're a bit like DFS and always have a sale ending in... 16hrs 24mins 34s which seems to start again a week or two later.

nutellamagnet · 21/08/2021 17:21

I used plumbworld on three bathrooms over the past year. No problems with them so far.

However as PP said I get an email every day with some kind of sale starting.

If you've got space to store and you definitely I rely want those items go ahead. If instead you've got flexibility or aren't that fussed about the fact items leave it. You'll be fine.

I've occasionally had some fantastic bargains from Plumbworld, when they've had clearance on stuff that isn't selling, or is last year's model.

I'd say, buy only known good brands.

In their "search" field, you can enter "clearance." As well as looking at the "sale" tab.
