Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help with advice on what are nice villages to live in, in either Gloucestershire or Somerset.
We don't have any children and aren't looking for an area with nice schools etc.
We are home bodies and are not looking for somewhere with a night life.
We are worried about moving somewhere, where there's lots of crime or it's basically full of chavs! We currently live on the south coast and have had problems with 'youths' damaging our property and it's all becoming a bit hard to bare!
Ideally looking for a rural village/Hamlet where we can experience peace and quiet. Keep to ourselves (having said that I'm a friendly person and I do love to chat to our lovely elderly neighbours!) and have somewhere nice to walk the dogs! We have two labradors for context.
My OH works from home but I'm a veterinary nurse so may need to commute to work but may be retraining in another field.
We've looked at various areas such as Leominster, Ross on Wye etc but sometimes when you Google these places they say things like 'worst place for crime in Herefordshire'.
We aren't set on the area as we are also considering Somerset but again we don't know what areas to look at.
Sorry if it's a bit vague but any opinions on areas would be gratefully appreciated.
