Painting a roller garage door

Has anyone done this? I’ve bought the paint (and primer) and am going to do it anyway but just wondered if anyone here has. It’s a nice condition electric garage door but painted in a really dull depressing shade that makes a big difference to the look of the house from outside.

I've never done it, I think our roller door has a sort of plastic coating so in our case we would need a suitable primer.
All I would add is, don't roll it up when the paint is still wet as you may never be able to unroll it!
