Need to replace the plug hole in my sink - help needed!!!

I can replace taps as I have done that before but I have no idea how to go about removing the plug hole. It isn't screwed in the centre so I am assuming it is just stuck down.

What can I unstick it with? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Oh and did I mention the ones I want to remove are "gold"

probably held in place by Nut underneath. Look under the sink. Nut most likely there. It might have some sealant around the ring too, to prevent leakage, just have to force it gently.

Ta, I shall stick my head under armed with a torch and have a play!
