What do you use for your granite worktop care?

I have a rental flat which is going to to be vacated so that is a good opportunity to re seal the granite worktop. Just wondering what people do for ongoing care and also what you use to reseal it, which manufacturers recommend doing once a year. Thanks in advance.

Aqua Mix Enrich'N'Seal Professional. Very expensive but a little goes a long way

My DH found a "recipe" on the Internet that he makes in a largish spray bottle:

About 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol, a squirt of Dawn detergent and rest water.

It works like a charm, no streaks etc.

We also seal the granite every few years with a commercial product.

Thanks for these helpful tips, much appreciated.

I had no idea granite needed care. We’ve had a granite countertop for 10 years - including 4 when we lived abroad and had tenants. The countertops have only been cleaned with regular cleaning products, and look like new. No chips or marks.

I don’t think special products are necessary.

I dint do anything special with mine, if i want to it to sparkle I clean with a karcher window vac

That interesting Yellownotblue. My tenant is probably moving out in autumn so it will be interesting to see what state the worktop is in. I just thought sealing would be a protection against heavy use as the house is rented out.

Lakeland Worktop Wonder is brilliant

Mr sheen window cleaner, the green stuff and a clean dry cloth or kitchen roll.

Buffs up lovely, no streaks, nine years old now and still looks beautiful. Didn’t know you had to reseal them.

Method granite and marble cleaner - buffs up a treat.
