Holy Grey House Batman

It would be like the film, Pleasantville.

There is a lady on Instagram who’s house is like This. Her whole account is about her grey home. I accidentally stumbled across it and took me ages to realise they weren’t edited that just how they have decorated

AlfonsoTheMango · 14/07/2021 11:31

While it's not to my taste I am sure that someone will love it.

mrsbyers · 14/07/2021 11:35

There are so many houses like this on the market at the moment , just incredibly bland

mrsbyers · 14/07/2021 11:35

It’s Mrs Hinchs fault

Bluesheep8 · 14/07/2021 13:42

That fruit bowl was working overtime

🤣

tentotwelve · 14/07/2021 13:49

Why is it called a villa?

It's a detached or semi-detached house, used in Scotland on estate agents' descriptions.

ApolloandDaphne · 14/07/2021 13:54

It is a decent house and will probably sell quickly. It wouldn't take much to add some colour to it with soft furnishings.

starrynight21 · 14/07/2021 14:01

I don't mind it - it's immaculate and only needs a few colourful things to brighten it up a bit.

HP79 · 14/07/2021 14:05

My OH's house was like this when I met him, but in beige. Honestly, I have never seen so much beige in one house. I think many people don't know what they're doing with interior design or don't have the confidence to experiment and think that if they buy everything in the same colour then at least it will always match. I love colour and our house now is quite colourful and my OH says he prefers it.

olderthanyouthink · 14/07/2021 14:07

I want to say it's real or real-ish, the kitchen has a wooden pepper mil and red cooker switch

Why isn't the garden grey-ed though? Fence and back door would be easy

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 14/07/2021 14:41

Could it be the efforts of a dejected Estate Agent who has realised that he made the wrong career choice some years ago?

MzHz · 14/07/2021 15:56

Someone has to take one for the MN team… one of us needs to book a viewing …

ImperfectTents · 15/07/2021 10:55

I live fairly near!

FAQs · 15/07/2021 13:02

The 360 walk through is depressing.

Persipan · 15/07/2021 14:13

How did I miss the 360 tour!? I love virtual tours!

I mean, maybe not that one specifically. But generally.

AperolWhore · 15/07/2021 14:15

I’m not sure what’s worse, all the grey or the nets 🙈

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 15/07/2021 23:11

I feel a bit bad for shaming it now. The grey is bad but the house is immaculately clean. I could take a few pointers for my ownBlush.

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 15/07/2021 23:12

@AperolWhore, nets?

OP posts:
AperolWhore · 16/07/2021 06:32

@FoofOfTheWalkingDead the net curtains at some of the windows…reminds me of my nanas house!!

Hamster33 · 16/07/2021 06:56

Hello op and ImperfectTents! I live fairly near too! Don’t know why, but that’s cheered me up. Mns live nearby, who knew!

BruceAndNosh · 16/07/2021 08:52

The cream outside is surprising

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 16/07/2021 10:08

@Hamster33 we're everywhere! Like fungusGrin. I'm actually east Edinburgh so not far from Musselburgh.

Hallyup6 · 16/07/2021 10:52

Good way to make the garden look appealing, I suppose.

Cocolapew · 16/07/2021 10:55

Is it really like that, no filter? If so that's bonkers.

Gotthetshirt23 · 16/07/2021 13:33

I think the estate agent has done this to show a "blank canvas" as in as neutral a way as possible?

Some people are very put off by colour (their choices could be ConfusedGrin) and by neutralising all the rooms people will be looking beyond decoration ?

Just my thoughts .....
