Best place for new bathroom suite

I'm hoping to replace our bathroom suite shortly. We know of a good local plumber / handyman who can do the install for us so I'm after recommendations of the best place to buy the suite from. My old bathroom came from B and Q. Its served us pretty well but they dont have very good reviews anymore

I bought our mirror, shower tray & doors from Drench, & our loo, sink, shower, radiator & taps from Victorian Plumbing, last September.

VP were pretty good; there was a very wide range and good info on the website. There were delays in delivery, which was fine but the communication wasn't very clear & I had to ring them to chase it up. I had to replace one item due to a fault, and they did replace it quickly (radiator valves).

Drench were extremely smooth; delivery was communicated clearly, & when I decided to exchange the shower tray for a slightly smaller size they were very helpful and arranged a simultaneous collection and delivery of the smaller size. I found their customer service and communication were above VP, & the items I got from them were very good quality and very well packaged.

I'm shopping around for the same thing and have absolutely fallen in love with some hand made vanity units / sinks on Etsy. I think one of those will really make the bathroom look stylish. I'm then planning on shopping around for a bath and toilet separately. Following this for more ideas!

I’m shopping around too … Wickes seem ok, but local bathroom shops are able to give discounts of 20-25% which makes them competitive with online, and gave some good advice

I found it useful to go into the shops to climb into baths, which you cannot do online

Olympic bathrooms in Harrow & the Bathtub in Northwood in my case

Btw, tradespeople that have been round seem to rate Victorian Plumbing

I’m coming to the conclusion that sanitary ware us much of a muchness so doesn’t really matter who you buy from
