Did you have to wait till you got the full points needed before you were offered a place?

Have you been on the transfer list long harman? Is there anyway of checking whereabouts on the list someone is?

We are lucky and have a 3 bed but are eligable for a 4. They are like gold dust and tbh we would rather stay here and have an extra room built on. Have 85 points and need 125 for a 4 bed.

We have 5. The house is really a 2 double bedroomed and one single bedroomed house. Bit of a squash but i love the house and there is room to extend. Have sent a letter suggesting this(hope triumphs over expectation!! ) not heard back yet

em...

2 bed flat 105 points.
2bed house 48 points
3 bed house 152 points (medical reasons)
4 bed house 156 points (medical reasons again and Anti-social neighbours)

Howdydoody · 24/11/2007 22:07

Sparkly is that all over or just your area?

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 24/11/2007 22:09

that was my area, it depends here, on whereabout you will take, the 2 bed house, for instance was in a really bad area (didn't know it when we took it) so didn't need many points. I believe Misdee was offered a house in the same area with 9 points she didn't take it..

sparklygothkat · 24/11/2007 22:10

thats how many points we had when we were offered each time IYSWIM.

Howdydoody · 24/11/2007 22:14

Where I live I wnet on the list when I got pg coz the house we lived in what a shite-hole and unfit for adults let alone a baby. i asked the council about the likelihood of being offered anything and was told that we weren't a priority as we both worked, had no kids and that they were saving the housing for the refugees coming into the area! My grandparents had to wait 6 years to be moved to warden accomodation. Council housing is like gold dust - unless you want to live in the bad area

Howdydoody · 25/11/2007 22:20

i know what you mean joyful, but sometimes reputation is worse than reality! We live in a place that on paper is a "bad" area, but really is so quiet and private it's on the whole great. hope things work out for you
