Electrics - how do I know if I need to upgrade?

We want to upgrade from a normal electric hob to an induction one. A lot of the hobs we look at state it must be at least 32 or 30 amp circuit- how do I tell what we currently have? I can’t see any mention of it on the relevant fusebox switch. The current hob is on its own circuit which It states 230/400v on fusebox and was installed 2006. Trying to weigh up whether we need to add cost of electrician to budget.

I have no idea but I should think an electrician would not charge you more than £20 to pop in and tell you.

Ask on an electricians trade site on Reddit or elsewhere on the internet?
