Brass waste for kitchen sink??

Having a new kitchen fitted imminently. Just had a beautiful aged brass Perrin & Rowe tap delivered but need to order waste for the sink. Will be getting a butler sink. Anyone got a brass sink waste?- suddenly wondering this morning if will be a pain as not sure it will be compatible with the usual cleaning stuff I might want to use on the sink??

I have brass fittings in my bathroom that were here when I moved in. I have never managed to clean them effectively and they are now so damaged (already rather distressed when I came), presumably from the wrong kind of cleaning, that I am going to replace them with chrome.
We do have water that leads to huge limescale deposits, which may also be a factor.
If you are buying the brass fittings new, I assume they will come with instructions, and maybe recommended cleaning products too? So may not be a problem for you.

That’s what I suspect will happen Scarby9 but fell for it because it looks good. Leaflet with tap says to clean with a just soap & microfibre cloth. DH says worst that can happen is we need to change it again!

Is it real brass or just coloured steel?

I have a kitchen with real brass taps and waste, double butler sink. We only use washing up liquid and warm water. If you want it sparkling and looking new, probably not the right choice. My taps and waste look aged/antique. I love the look and it suits the style of my house.

Devol do a brass waste. I can't link it because it seems their site is under maintenance... but I am about to buy some Perrin and Rowe aged brass tapes myself for our belfast sink so have been looking for one to complement them. It's not cheap so don't know if we will go with it, but it's on the wishlist for a little piece of devol heaven
