I am only asking for advice and any recommendations.
I live in a semi-detached house and my side outside wall (not connected to the other house) is damp to the touch.
I do not want the house all re-rendered (I currently have white 'stippled' render on top of the brickwork - historic since I moved in in 1998) but now it seems that the render seal is not intact.
We have had a lot of rain in the last few days and the hallway (going up the stairs) is damp and the wall paper can be removed quite easily (as the wall paper glue has become damp and therefore unstuck).
I do not want a bodge (short term) job but as I am on my own with 3 children obviously I do not have loads of money to spend.
Anyone else had the same problem and any idea of what the cost of repair would be.
