Rightmove and properties back to market

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to be notified when properties come back to the market if they have been SSTC previously? Normally they just appear back and still have the original listing date, so doesn't trigger a notification.

Or do I just have to keep looking and hoping to notice?

Not sure about notifying but when I was in this position I made it known to the estate agents what I was looking for and that I could move if anything came back on etc

My house was relisted on Rightmove this morning after our buyer pulled out last wk. The agent told me properties do not show as newly listed if they have been on Rightmove within the past 3 months (regardless of the status change from SSTC). They only show as newly listed if they have had a price change (we changed from a price bracket to a set price so we would come up within the added in the past 24hrs search)

It's not too difficult to keep looking on there anyway so thanks, I'll keep watching out!

Keep in communication with estate agents. Our local EAs knew what we wanted, where, and for how much. This meant that when our now home came back to the market, they called us, sorted a viewing that day and we offered same day. It technically didnt even reappear as for sale on RM.

We found that - a house we loved was relisted and we had no idea.

I spoke about it with my EA and he said that's because otherwise, unscrupulous EAs could put a house as sold, and then relist it 24 hours later simply to get it to the top of the search

You have to keep checking by oldest listed as we'll as newest listed I'm afraid...

It's annoying isn't it. What I do is I save the ones I absolutely love that are sold, then every evening I have a quick scroll through my favourites list to check if any of them no longer say SSTC. But if a pain though as they all get mixed up then with the ones I am currently considering that are available. But otherwise I'd have to go through every house available all the time!

I have done that too, however one property I saw that came back from SSTC was then the next day listed as removed by agent.

But when I looked through the live listings it was there, exactly same details, same original date, but with a different listing number!

You can use extension tools for your web browser to watch the edits to the house selling sites. I have used Property Bee successfully in the past; I can't speak to the others listed in the article linked.

Don’t trust the EA to tell you the truth if you enquire to as to why the sale fell through. We have backed out of a purchase recently due to an absolutely shocking survey. Pleased we booked a through one, a new buyer perhaps just paying for a basic survey, will have a very unfortunate surprise.
