Flooring for bathroom/kitchen/rooms

Hi everyone

Just hoping for some advice and tips as I’m completely clueless about what flooring I should get and where from. There’s a local company that’s given me a £2900 quote for the following:

  1. Carpet for staircase, 1 large bedroom and 3 small bedrooms
  2. Lino flooring for bathroom
  3. Vinyl kitchen flooring
  4. Wooden-style laminate for 2 living rooms and hallway

This includes the insulation materials and basically everything else I would need but this does not include fitting prices.

Other than the above, what should I keep in mind when getting flooring for my 4 bedroom home? We have 1 bathroom and a very very small kitchen.

Thank you!

I don't think I'm going to be much help but to start the conversation... I've paid just £4k for carpeting 6 rooms and stairs landing. That's materials and fitting and also fitting of sheet vinyl flooring in a small bathroom that I bought separately.

In terms of other things to think about... when we do the kitchen and hallway we're going for underfloor heating as having hard floors.

£4000! Wow that must have been an excellent job then! Thank you for sharing. I hadn’t thought of underfloor heating, will definitely look into that :)
