Any advice on receiving a diy kitchens delivery? I've cleared a space and printed the list of what I ordered. Any other tips? Do I hope each box and check it there and then?! Stressed! (particularly as they weren't due til next week....hmm)

Thanks

I think I just let them put it in the kitchen and ignored it.

Impossible to check the boxes as takes too long, too well packed and honestly I had no idea what I was looking at. I let the fitter get on with it.

Everything was spot on and we just ended up short of one bit of trim - fitters mistake. Very easy to order bits and pieces that you find out that you need extra afterwards.

Thanks @AnnaMagnani Plaster is still drying so I think it will be going in our living room. Maybe our toddler can use it as a fort! Eek. Hope it goes as smoothly as yours.

They're allowing 28 days at the moment after delivery to identify and report any issues. We've had several - and each of them has take several back and forth deliveries of wrong parts. Still hoping to get the right pieces soon!

@Lottle It's not been a terrible service - and we did save 30% compared to Howdens. But we had the following issues:

  1. no door sent for a unit. Ticket raised, door sent, hung the wrong way. Ticket raised, 2nd door sent, still hung the wrong way

  2. damaged drawer front. Ticket raised, new drawer front sent, top side of it wasn't finished being painted (rough not smooth like rest of kitchen ). Ticket raised, replacement sent.

  3. no shelves sent for the unit mentioned earlier. Ticket raised, shelves sent. Depth of shelves is 44cm. Depth of the unit is 30cm. Ticket raised, waiting for replacement.

  4. no shelves sent for three other units. Ticket raised, shelves sent. Shelves are 60cm wide, units are 50cm wide. Ticket raised, waiting for replacement.

  5. no panel sent for fridge/freezer unit. Ticket raised, replacement received.

It's just been a bit frustrating. I'm certainly not giving the glowing review that I've seen on here and led me to use them. But the kitchen itself is beautiful and the delivery guys have been lovely. I'm just fed up of still having boxes everywhere weeks after taking delivery, and I'm confused why they'd send out faulty / incorrect items to replace faulty / incorrect items without checking.

We had the opposite of crispywaffle we paid for a named delivery date they came at 8pm and we had cleared a huge space for the units and the lads brought them into the house and put them stacked where we asked them to, all the units were boxed so we couldnt check them as they came in but we were lucky everything was there and undamaged

We had a few missing and one damaged unit. Things were sorted, damage units take longer. Was quite hard to tick off things at the time. We even did the counting and some how still didn’t notice the small missing unit straight away.
We are very pleased with it now it’s all in now though
