HMRC Covid grants and mortgages

I have just been told today that Natwest are not giving any mortgages to anyone whose business received an hmrc grant for Covid support.
I have tried Googling but I’m unable to find out if it’s just a natwest thing or all banks.
Anyone else had similar issues?

It's not all banks. A decent broker could be really helpful for you in this instance.

I did a morrgage extension with Natwest, they asked us about all support, i.e. furlough, grants, moetgage breaks, etc. I have no idea whether it would have been a flat refusal if we'd had any or just taken into consideration. My husband is self employed and I had to 'justify' why he wasn't/ wouldn't be affected by COVID.
