Hi all.
Not sure if I am being impatient, but currently trying to rent a house as our current landlord is returning from abroad so moving back into our current place.
The market is red hot in our area. We saw two houses we like, one is better than another. We applied for the one house, then later that day saw the other house. We applied for that the next day. I know it's bad to apply for two, but we've missed out on a few already.
House 1 landlord is willing to let us rent. We prefer house 2. We put an application in for House 2 at 10am yesterday morning. The estate agent says they havent been able to get hold of the landlord (who owns half the street).
So we are in a situation with the estate agents for house 1, waiting for us to confirm. They had several interested parties.
The only thing that concerns me, is that House 2 is over priced. Like £300 a month over priced. I raised this with the estate agent who said that we could offer what we like and he will pass the offer on. However, when I went to do this, he said he had spoken to the landlord already and they said they wouldn't budge so it was full offer or don't bother. So I made a full offer, but with the condition that the carpet in two of the bedrooms was changed as it was disgusting. There were more viewings after us, so I think they're waiting to see if the other parties offer without the condition.
SO, would I be pushy if I ring today for an update?
