Outdoor furniture covers

We recently invested in a nice rattan garden furniture set. Obviously severely underused to date due to weather! I am hoping it will last for years so I have been looking into weatherproof covers for it. I can buy a fitted cover set (something like www.whitestores.co.uk/cover-for-right-hand-l-shaped-corner-dining-set.html) but the description indicates that you need to remove all of the cushions before using the covers and we wanted to avoid this if we can, at least through the summer months. Looked into custom covers but they are £££ Does anyone have a better idea of how to protect furniture with cushions in situ? Do you have the fitted covers and use them with cushions for example? Thanks in advance.

Do you need to keep the covers in situ? We use a cushion box. Rattan doesn’t need to be protected with a cover.

Thanks was hoping to avoid putting cushions on and off every time but maybe that is no worse than fixing a cover in place... MIght be the way to go.

For me I prefer a cushion box. You’ve still got to store the covers when they aren’t in use, and you can sit on the rattan without the cushions. Others feel differently though.
