Viewing after dark - what to do with curtains

May seem like a daft question but is playing on my mind!

We've got a viewing booked for 5:15 tomorrow by which time it will obviously be dark.

Would you close to curtains? If so, all of them or just the one's in the lounge?

Argh, this is really confusing me

TIA

I always leave them all open for the viewings - usually go round the house 10 mins before hand

Really?? It'll be pich black by then - I'd close them all and put on all the lights - it lets you light the rooms how you like too (lamps etc to make it look cosier)

open a bit and light some lamps

Close curtains in room would normally be closed (living room) because it will feel cosier and warmer but keep them open in the bedrooms to show that you are not hiding anything. If you have lights in your garden, turn them on so that viewers can see how lovely it is.

Don't get hung up about curtains - just concentrate on cleaning and tidying, you'd be amazed how many people think that people won't mind a bit of broken lego and a few decapitated Barbies strewn about the place but, unfortunately, it does make a house look uncared for.

Thanks all, from the suggestions I think I will close the curtains in the sitting room, but leave them open in the bedroom and leave the blind up in the kitchen.

I am proud (or maybe that shoudl be smug) to say that the house is spotless, but then again we don't yet have any children so it's a little easier

Skibump - lol I would have lights on aswell!!

I just think that in our house it looks better with curtains tied back as we have a view of a cathedrale that is lit up at night and looks amazing. Most of the time people pull them back a bit to look at views. We have nice things on our windowsills too. Cutains closed looks boring as ours are just plain.
