Anyone have experience with cushion vinyl flooring, the kind that comes on a roll? I'm umming and arhhing about it for our new kitchen but we are about to get a puppy!

Not very.

It will stand up to walking on, but it can tear if you drag heavy furniture or appliances across it, and will puncture if you drop a sharp knife on it.

If you want to move an appliance, spray the floor with WD40 or furniture polish or WUL and water first to make it slippery, and lift the appliance one side at a time to get lube under each foot.

Wipe the floor clean afterwards, especially of WUL which goes sticky as it dries. So WUL is not a good choice

You can get felt pads for chair legs.
