How long would you expect Oil-based eggshell to take to totally dry out?

I'm finding small patches of mine are still sticky after 4 days... (painting furniture)

Where is the furniture? Do you have good ventilation?

its better to dry it out when its windy and not just hot...having the heating on etc wont really speed it up.

It's in my lounge. I let an electric radiator on in the room on low last night & that's helped a lot, although it's still tacky in places.

Yeah, open some windows!
