Buying a ex Housing Association flat - anything to consider?

Posted a few weeks ago about an ex LA flat and was enlightened to the issues around huge bills for maintenance with no negotiation opportunity.

Is this likely to be the same issue with an ex Housing Association properties?

I think it depends on the association...some near me are horrendous for never doing any maintenance at all and are frequently in local paper to shame them....flats with bad damp and mould etc....this is L and Q group. i guess its same issues with ex la..is it a big block etc etc..

That’s a good point - I will try to find out who they are. Seems like will have same issue of risk of large costs
