Flooring help. Getting desperate!!!

Hi,

I have had an extension built, so we have a large kitchen diner area. All great but I am really struggling with flooring.

With two young children, and dogs it needs to be robust and I am after a wood look.

I have looked at Amtico, I have samples coming out of my ears, it looks great in some light but when the sun hits it, it looks like shiny plastic.

I'm now at a loss. I have been advised against engineered wood as it will just get ruined.

Does anyone know of a product that looks as close to wood as possible, but without the shine?

Thanks

Sorry if this has been asked but where did you get your bamboo floor from?

I got mine from www.bambooflooringcompany.com/ and woodpeckerflooring.co.uk/blog/bamboo-flooring/

Woodpecker seems really expensive and the samples don't look any different to me than the ones from Bambooflooring but I'm no expert so perhaps they are constructed differently.

Flooring is now done, thanks again to everyone for their advice and opinions. As mentioned went with Ted Todd Sugarcane engineered and found a good fitter.

It was cheaper getting the floor online a then finding a fitter, rather than going via big stores.
Saved over 3k doing it that way.

It has left me feeling overjoyed.

I will post a pic when the skirting is in.Smile

That's brilliant news, OP, I'd love to see a picture!

I'd also love to see a photo! Having to think about things like this myself, quite soon!
