What do these cost? Is £400 reasonable?

Depends on the size of house and where. For a three bed end of terrace, 1200sqft in SW London I was quoted £610 plus VAT.

Thanks. This one is in Dorset. I have no idea what is an acceptable price as I haven't bought in 15 years. £400 could have been really low or even really high. As it is, it sounds like it might be about right as it's for a 2 bed cottage,

We had one in Greater Manchester last year for around £350 for a 4 bed house
