Boundary fencing help (including diagram!)

Can anyone help please as I am SO confused.

One of the fences next to my parking space has broken. My neighbour (who shares the driveway with me) has emailed the developer who built the properties in 2003 to ask who is responsible for fixing them and the developer has said me.

I'm not disputing this but I can't find anywhere on my plans or title deeds that indicate the fence is my boundary, all my other fences have the little 'T' marked on them to show they are my responsibility.

Do I just take the developers word for it? If it was a simple fence I'd just replace it as it's easier than stressing about boundaries but it's a bloody awkward thing and will be a nightmare to replace so want to make sure it really is me before spending £100s!

Sorry was going to add a diagram but then decided it would just complicate things

This sounds complex. Are you sure you need a fence there? What's on the other side of the parking space?

Have you checked your neighbour's deeds at the land registry to see if there is a T?

I would query it with the developer if it isn't marked as belonging to either property and ask them why it isn't marked in your deeds.

Is the fence on the same side at the back of the property marked as being your responsibility? If it is, they are probably right. What about the other side at the front of the property?

You are unlikely to be responsible for all your fences. If you are responsible, say, for the left hand side surely your neighbour is responsible for their left side? Personally I'd have split the bill.
