What flooring do you have in bright kitchen?

We are having an extension built, kitchen /diner. There's quite a bit of glazing including sliders and roof lights.

We have kids and dogs so had more or less decided on a Karndean parquet floor which I'd heard great things about. But have been reading lots of very bad reviews, many of which talk about Karndean fading/changing colour in sunlight.

I really don't want to spend a fortune and regret it. But I want a nice parquet floor. We don't want tiles and wood seems too high maintenance.

What do you have as flooring in a bright kitchen? TiA

We have grey tile effect karndean in our kitchen and hall.

We have four skylights in our kitchen, so it gets lots of light compared to our hallway.

The floor has been in place for over two years and there's no discernable difference in colour between the floor in the kitchen and hallway. I wouldn't say there has been any fading whatsoever.

Amtico planks in a herringbone style. They are dark so a bit of fading would be fine IMO

Thanks, are you happy with your Karndean. I've read reviews that rave about it and others that say it was a huge disappointment 😩

Hi. I've just ordered Knight Tile Karndean for my living room, and have since read some terrible Karndean reviews, about scratching, fading, peeling etc. Am now seriously worried, especially as mine is the cheaper one. Any positive experiences?
