Nature surrounded affordable areas in London?

Hi there!

My family decided to get me and my boyfriend a flat so i'm looking for something 2 bedrooms like and budget around 300k (depends how hight the pound currency exchange will get). And we both need good connection with London for work but also a nice area (especially because of covid) with nice walks areas. Up to an hour of transport would be fine for us as long as the area is worth it and nice to live in. Any ideas maybe? I've spend most of my time in London living around Chiswick or Hammersmith and I love it but obvs cant afford anything here!

Greenwich would be great. This is over-budget but you may be able to find similar: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/103415879#/

Chingford near North Chingford Station has countryside nearby. You may only be able to get a one bedroom flat though.

Look around Woolwich and Abbey Wood, both on crossrail also Plumstead which is between them, lots of green space and might just get a 2 bed house which will avoid the service charge of a flat - if you really want a flat lots coming up in Woolwich. Lots of green and river front too.

We have recently had an offer accepted in Romford which was a good location for us as the transport links to Liverpool street already are very good but with the new Elizabeth line will be even better and prices are reasonable - area has a busy London feel but plenty of green spaces too!

I'd look at Highams Park (on the Liverpool St to Chingford line). The train journey would be less than half an hour, and you could get a flat close to both station and forest.

Try woodford - it's on the Central Line
