Digging up concrete frontage in Victorian house

I am buying a Victorian house and previous owners did many things which I am rectifying - they replaced the sashes with casement windows for example.

The front garden is small but they’ve concreted it which looks awful. I will try to attach a photo. I’m considering having it dug up and tiled with a flower bed. Any idea if this is doable and costs? I’d get a builder in

Find out where the DPC is. Very often paving is laid too high at an old house. Verify airbricks are clear.

Dig round the drains while you have the chance. Most likely they are cracked and leaking.

Good time to renew the incoming water supply pipe as well.
