Moving house and WiFi

We are moving next week and we need to have some WiFi up and running as fast as possible so we can work from home.
Can we get it set up in advance? We would like to swap from our current provider because they are rubbish and we are overpaying. We are out of contract with them.
Please can someone explain how we do it? (I am a complete dunce at this stuff). Do we still need a landline? Or is that not a thing any more? Thank you Smile

Three have a wifi broadband solution that is really good and completely mobile so you could buy it before you move and get it up and running then simply take it with you. You can then just pull into a power socket and it works.

you can even take it on holiday with you :)

I'm moving from rented on Friday 12th March, I couldn't get Talktalk to connect me in my new property until the Monday 15 March. My phone will be my only wifi for two days.

I am using my Vodafone mobile as a hotspot to type this as my home wi-fi is so slow. I do pay a lot, £27 per month. That is for unlimited texts, calls and data. I used to think it was worth the cost as I used to travel a lot and a secure wi-fi was good to have.

I moved the week before Christmas. I didn't have a confirmed date as we exchanged and completed same day but I ordered the installation a few days before we were due to move. I shopped around and went with my current provider Virgin but as the new place hadn't had virgin I had to wait for the install. I was without broadband for nearly 4 weeks but I added unlimited data to my EE mobile for a month and tethered my tv to it. I used my work mobile to tether my laptop and it worked great.
Good luck. Moving is stressful enough without the added issue of no broadband!
