Any idea of cost? I'm struggling to get quotes because everyone is so busy! Max 2.5m by 2.5m.
Thanks!

Thanks for replying. It will be in the back of the house to extend the dining room which will be knocked through to the kitchen. The wall to kitchen isn't load bearing and small. Bifold doors on to garden. It would make the room more useable.

That’s tiny. Is that the internal measurement or external?

HasaDigaEebowai · 24/02/2021 22:52

Is it two walls or three?

HasaDigaEebowai · 24/02/2021 22:58

For an idea of cost the building work for my small extension 5 x 2.5 is 13k (but that is a good price since a friend is doing it). The bifolds Im putting in another room are £4K

awishes · 24/02/2021 23:04

It's the internal measurements, one wall each side and then the bi-folds.
Thank you for replying. I had a quote from a glazing company 2.7x2.5 £26k

£26k seems a lot. Our planned work is 3mx4m and is less than that.

@ShowOfHands thank you

My orangery 6m x 4m with a roof lantern and bifolds is only £28k. That quote is too much.

@HasaDigaEebowai
Thank you. As they guy left he said it would probably be around £15k so I was astounded to receive it in writing as getting on for double.
Thanks for letting me know. Much appreciated.
