Mortgage offers all through
Searches due back next week
Survey done on the house yesterday, no report back yet.
My house sale is ready to exchange
I haven’t received contract pack from the house im buying yet, they’re moving into a new build which is ready to move into and just awaiting searches like me.

Thoughts?

Sounds very promising.

Keep pushing your solicitors etc for it to move through. I am pushing mine daily as it needs to complete before the 7th, everything is hard work with them at the moment. Ours is a straight forward no chain sale and should have been completed months ago.

Housemove21 · 18/02/2021 12:00

Oh fingers crossed then. I’ll keep on trying to push through the solicitors, they’ll probs end up hating me!

Mine actively tries to ignore me now and probably hates me, but I don’t care anymore!

SeasonFinale · 18/02/2021 12:14

Is their new build actually built and finished though?

Chimeraforce · 18/02/2021 12:25

Push your solicitor daily. They hate that and prefer clients to just sit and wait obediently.
Don't. They'll hate you and will try to ignore but keep pushing. I had to do that before covid. They are too laid back.

We were at this stage start of December and went through start of February with daily contact but person at bottom doing another transaction which added 3 weeks. So could have gone through in 3 weeks if everyone on same page and no Christmas break.

Rivergreen · 18/02/2021 12:38

If you're solicitor has any enquiries after searches come back (which is not uncommon) or after the survey, I think you'll be cutting it fine. So chase chase chase everyone about everything!

GenderApostate19 · 18/02/2021 12:48

My DD’s solicitors are pencilling in March 5th for exchange, most searches were back on Monday, survey done last week, everything fine, she’s in a chain of 3, Her sellers are buying an empty property, their seller is already in a v. Nice retirement flat.
They are waiting on the Council searches, neither house has had major work requiring building control so are getting indemnity insurance to expedite things.

Housemove21 · 18/02/2021 13:46

Their new built is built and finished.

It sounds like as long as searches/survey come back fine then I should be ok?
