Where to live near Bath?

Can anyone recommend the best towns/villages with excellent schools near Bath please?

Depends what you want from where you live really? Best town for what?

Primary or secondary? I would recommend Saltford Primary school and Wellsway Academy in Keynsham. I also like Newbridge Primary.

Close enough to work in Bath, 30 mins approx commute time or less. Want somewhere community minded, great schools, walkable, community.

Secondary school

I’d prefer an ofsted outstanding secondary

I think St Nicholas in Bradford on Avon is popular too.

Don’t need an academic pushy school or grammar. Want a community great secondary where my kids can walk to school, will be safe and can make friends in the local area

Frome or Warminster

Only issue with schools in Frome is the three tier system.

Keynsham.
6 primary schools (2 brand new) and 3 secondary schools (1 new), you would have to travel for special needs provision if it couldn't be met in mainstream.
Buses to Bristol and Bath bus stations and to Bristol airport (only public transport is taxi or bus if you're not taking your car). Trains take 10 minutes to both cities.
