Change locks?

Hi everyone. We are FTB, hopefully will get the key next month, everything's on track, touch wood.

Can I ask, is it common practice to change the locks once you've moved in? I'm buying off a nice older lady in a nice looking area so I've no reason to be suspicious, I just don't know if that what people do? Thanks

@Oregano20

Thoughts on toilet seats? GrinGrin
in the dishwasher.

I would - because you have no idea what cleaners, cat sitters, neighbours or tradespeople might have a set. Even if you only get the barrel changed of the main lock, that would be better than nothing; it's not a big job.

@Oregano20 toilet seats are definitely binned.

We always change locks, but keep them (+keys) to pass onto family who move. Some of the locks have travelled far.
Always change toilet seats, unless a fancy one off toilet. But that’s only happened once.

Yes, we have always done so as no idea who might have a key given.by previous owner. We change alarm number too.
