Received completion statement today. How much longer do I wait?!

The solicitors have taken so long and only just sent through the statement today. Everything adds up so no issues there.

Out mortgage offer runs out end of February so I am so nervous of when we can complete.

Can someone please tell me what the next steps are and how long (average) we have to wait now?

Oh annoying! All you can do is keep trying. I’ve heard of others writing to others in the chain to pass over contact details to help, come over to buyer seller roll call thread as there’s lots of helpful stuff there from others going through this crazy journey!

It's not just up to your solicitors to pluck a date out of the air though. Are you in a chain? You may want to move tomorrow but what about the property you are moving into? Is that vacant or are you depending on your vendors moving somewhere? Your estate agent should be helping you with all of this. They are making commission from your sale which they will be keen to actually get their hands on. they should be helping you work out the likely timings and between you you can then provide a desired date to your solicitors which they can check out with the rest of the chain.

Yes agree, the estate agent can help with this. I've got a slow solicitor one end so am copying estate agent into each email I get and send . They are being very helpful in getting answers.

There are no EA involved. Pretty straightforward transaction. At least that's what I thought

We exchanged last week, got our completion statement on Monday and complete next week, so it seems you can exchange first!
