I am fitting out an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge and will be having various light fittings but struggling to find a good retailer I trust.
Wayfair have loads of choice and some good prices but I don't trust the quality or options of they arrive damaged etc. I want to know where to go for stylish choices that are reasonable quality but don't cost the earth.
I feel like I've been all over the internet and can find cheap and cheerful and oh so expensive and tired old styles. I ave looked at Ikea and Next.
Where did you buy yours from and were you happy?
I wish shops etc were open so I could browse!

John Lewis. All sorts of prices. All sorts of lights. No quibble returns. Neptune for kitchens is a good source. What sort of lights do you want?

Also Cox and Cox (always offer 20% off) and Pooky are great.

Thanks.... good options I haven't checked out yet. I want pendant lights which are contemporary but not bling.
I am doing loads of the work myself so I'm doing all kinds of research into all kinds of stuff, and this is one of the things I seem to be going in circles with.

We have some of these in the dining/living bit of our kitchen/diner from West Elm. They can be set at different heights so we have one low over the dining table and one higher in the family area.

I've also got some lights from made.com which are good quality if you don't mind waiting and Habitat (though I think they quality might be less good now they're basically an Argos brand).

You should be okay with that light from Cox and Cox as it's not glass. We had three out of three glass lights arrive from Cox and Cox smashed into tiny pieces.

Houseof have some nice lights

RealisticSketch · 03/02/2021 17:57

I have had a very satisfying explore of all these options. Thanks all. Not picked one yet but definitely finding better choices than I had.

Oh dear, that doesn't say much for their packaging or courier choices.... did they sort it out for you ok?

We bought some lighting recently online from here:

Gave good advice by email and was decently priced. I would definitely use them again.

We’ve just completed an extension and were recommended this site. I’d never heard of it before and have been really impressed with range and quality.
