Does anyone have lovely kitchen tiles?

I’m having a new kitchen soon - white shaker cabinets, black worktop, black range cooker, chrome handles.

For flooring I was thinking either a light/greyish wood effect vinyl, or has anyone seen any vinyl that looks like patterned tiles?

(I don’t want real tiles on the floor, too cold, and will be laid over existing 1950s red quarry tiles).

Also need tiles for the walls above the worktop and cooker. I was thinking of white subway tiles but might be a bit too stark?

No, I have metro tiles as the wife liked them lol I’d have picked something else...

I have light green glossy tiles which came with the house and must be old as hills, I really like them (the only original decor I didn’t hate!)
The rest of the kitchen is grim and needs redoing, but those tiles must be saved at all costs! I am dreaming of a slate effect vinyl floor and splash backs in those giant tiles so there’s less grout to scrub

Those large grey tiles look lovely. I would consider grey tiles, but then I probably wouldn’t have grey flooring as it will be too monochrome.

Very good point about large tiles having less grout to scrub!

I like the colour of the light green tiles, but generally prefer rectangular tiles.. will try to see if I can find any

When I redid the kitchen in my house I decided against subway tiles and went for old school square tiles in a bright colour ( peppermint). They’re made in England by Johnson tiles . Very good value.

Not a great picture I'm afraid, I have just finished tiling our kitchen. long metro tiles, they aren't actually white but off white with a pearly gloss finish.

We also have cream/off white dhaker style kitchen/chrime handles and some bold Moroccan style tiles...not to everyone’s taste but I love them...

Could you use the same quartz as a splashback? No grouting needed and easier to clean.
