Tips - Preparing for a house move

Has anyone got any good house moving tips please
Due to move in about 6 weeks (which may not go ahead on time I know) but looking around how much stuff we have I’m not certain of the best place to start
All I’ve done so far is sold all of the furniture that we definitely don’t want to take and I’ve ordered boxes and wrap

Maricoco if I'm not an FB user, can I just register for Market place temporarily, or do you need to be a user? and possibly with a lot of history there for people to trust you?

You do have to be a user but when you're messaging someone about an item they/you are selling you can't see any of their private info!

You get cash on collection so there is little risk of being scammed etc.. well i have never had issues and i have sold and purchased lots through there.

the problem i have with eBay is they talk a good chunk of commission!

If you have to pack yourself buy one of those packing tape whirly hand dispenser thingios pretty sure that the proper name. Also get some decent hand cream as mine were so sore and cracked after packing/unpacking and wiping/cleaning everything in 2 houses. Good luck!

I use ebay a lot but never sold/bought furniture there, so it's very encourafing. Possibly my dressing table isn't selling as it's a bit niche and it's a large size so wouldn't fit in smaller bedrooms.
But now I'll be trying other items. The only thing is, two of the are hugely heavy and need two people to come into the house - but of course I can stay out of the way 2+ meters. wear masks etc.
I didn't know aout barcodes for collection - I did that with some of my bags (peple collecting) but they paid cash and we both signed a printed page.
Are you in large city though, I wonder? just thought maye that made it easier to sell furniture.
